GREENVILLE, Ohio - Jackie Heiser and Ava Bubp each won a pair of events Monday in leading the Fort Recovery Eels summer swim team to a 443-210, rain-shortened victory over Greenville.
Heiser finished first in the 11-12-year-old 100-yard freestyle, 50 breaststroke and 100 individual medley, and Bubp took the top spot in the 8-and-younger 25 butterfly, 100 individual medley and 25 breaststroke.
Alexis Bubp and Cori Stone each added two victories for the Fort Recovery girls, and Riley Ellenberger and Perry Hull picked up two wins apiece for the boys.
Other winners were Valerie Muhlenkamp, Cassidy Martin, Jurnee Bechtol, Kirsten Jutte, Kady Ellenberger, Kendra Siefring, Dillon Ramirez, Andy Gray, Marshall Hull, Jacob Acheson, Kyle Timmerman, Mitchell Homan, Ryan Gray, Gavin Thobe, MacKinely Timmerman and Logan Ramirez.

BERNE - Grayson Hogg, a South Adams High School student, will compete in the National High School Rodeo Association junior high division finals.
Hogg earned a spot on the Ohio National Junior High rodeo team, and will compete in chute dogging at the national meet June 27 through July 3 in New Mexico. He has finished first in every event he has entered during the spring season.
The national rodeo will include more than 1,000 competitors from the United States, Canada and Australia.
Elks win big
Portland Elks rolled to a 13-3, five-inning victory Monday over Portland Kiwanis in Portland Junior League Pee Wee Reese baseball. On Saturday, Portland Lions defeated Kiwanis 16-1 in four innings.
Gage Capper led the victory for Elks with two runs and two RBIs. Andy Kohler drove in three runs and scored once.
Jason Schlosser powered Lions with a double, three runs and two RBIs. Levi Stant had a double, two runs and three RBIs.
Levi Long scored once and drove in a run for Kiwanis in the loss Monday, and Allen Huey walked and scored the team's only run Saturday.[[In-content Ad]]
