Local roundup

This year, they hit half that mark in one game.
Four different players went deep Thursday, propelling the Jay County High school softball team to a 15-1 victory in five innings over the host Delta Eagles.
Courtney Finnerty paved the way for the Patriot offense, going a perfect 3-for-3, including two home runs while driving in five RBIs.
Chelsea Tighe, Larissa Boles and Catherine Dunn all added long-balls for Jay County (2-0).
Dunn was a flawless 4-for-4 at the plate with a pair of RBIs, and threw out two would-be base stealers from her catcher position.
