Former Jay County residents Homer and Ruth Pontius, 6723 S. Anthony Blvd., Fort Wayne, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary today.
Mr. and Mrs. Pontius were married on June 27, 1944, in Portland.
Ruth retired from Wolf and Dessauer Department Store in Fort Wayne and Homer retired as a driver for Avis at Baer Field Airport in Fort Wayne.
The couple are the parents of Steve Pontius, Petoskey, Mich.; Jane Pontius, Indianapolis; Mark Pontius, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Craig Pontius, Chicago. They also have two grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
