Longtime Jay County residents Jack and Nora Pyle, 2688 East 500 North, Portland, are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday, July 4, with an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Holiday Inn Express in Portland.
Jack married Nora Landers on July 4, 1959, in Portland.
Nora retired from CTS in Berne and Jack retired from farming and the Portland Forge after 41 years of service.
Mr. and Mrs. Pyle are the parents of Mrs. David (Sherry) Craw, Gary Pyle and Susie Craig. They also have seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
