NEW CASTLE - The record is theirs.

The host Trojans defeated Southside, 82-19.

Jay County's 13-3 mark to end the regular season surpassed the old record of 12, which was established in 2002 and tied last season.

Milligan powered the Patriots in the sprints, leading a one-two finish in the 50-yard freestyle. He recorded a time of 24.81 seconds to win the race, and Derik Lucas was second in 26.9.

The senior also took the top spot in the 100 freestyle in 55.03.

Sam Miller picked up the only other individual win for Jay County with a time of 2-minutes, 4.95 seconds in the 200 individual medley. He also placed second in the 500 freestyle in 5:27.48.
