MUNCIE — After opening with six consecutive losses, the Jay County girls tennis team is on the verge of a winning streak.
The Patriots won their second straight match Thursday, edging the Olympic Athletic Conference rival Muncie Southside Rebels 3-2. Both teams had earned their first victory Tuesday.
Jay County defeated the Rebels with a sweep of the doubles matches.
Megan Knittle and Jessica Muhlenkamp won at No. 1 doubles by a 6-3, 6-3 count over Jessica Arnold and Heather Flowers.[[In-content Ad]]
