Jay Co. girls go undefeated

The Jay County middle school girls swim team capped an undefeated season Monday with a 141-39 victory over Blackford. The boys team lost, 78-76.

Caitlin Mark, Rachel Vogler, Ashley Mark, Rhianon Mills, Katy Smeltzer, Rylee Clemmons, Alyson Lucas and Anne Vormohr all turned in victories as Jay County finished at 7-0-1. Caitlin Mark, Vormohr, Smeltzer and Sophie Bader teamed to win the 200-yard medley and 300 freestyle relays.

Larissa Boles, Ashley Mark, Vogler and Lucas were first in the 200 freestyle relay.

Zane Shreve picked up a pair of wins for the boys team, and Sok Vormohr and Evan Mathias each added on victory.

Alexander Clark, Cavin Schricker, Remington Arnold and Conner Daniels took first in the 300 freestyle relay.[[In-content Ad]]
