Jay Co. slips vs. SA again
Jay County Summer Swim Team
For the second time this season, the Jay County Summer Swim team picked up more first-place finishes than South Adams. But for the second time, it fell to defeat.
Jay County, which lost by 13 points to South Adams June 23, fell to their neighbors to the north again Monday 606-583.
Seven swimmers won three events apiece for Jay County, including two each in the 9-10-year-old and 15-and-older divisions.
In the 9-10-year-old division Noah Hummel finished first in the boys long freestyle, butterfly and individual medley, and Alex Bader took the girls long freestyle, butterfly and individual medley. In the 15-and-older events Aaron Hudson won the boys long freestyle, individual medley and breaststroke, and Cori Vormohr earned victories in the girls butterfly, individual medley and short freestyle.
Eliza Bader, Sophie Bader and Mary Hudson each added two victories. Single wins came from Christopher McDowell, Sydney Mathias, Quin Blakely, Brent Milholland, Zane Shreve, Eme Miller and Lucas Holcomb.[[In-content Ad]]
