A total of 35 swimmers combined to win 56 of the 60 individual events Tuesday as the Jay County Summer Swim Team beat the Randolph County YMCA Sharks, 840-294, at Portland Pool.
Jay is now 4-0 on the season in dual meets, and has rattled off a dozen straight wins since dropping its opener in June 2012.
Joseph Dow, Konner Sommers, Ben Strausburg, Kaitlyn Dow, Sophie Saxman and Alex Bader all won three events apiece.
Picking up victories in two events were Elayna Paro, Erica Hathaway, Tayler Smeltzer, Sok Vormohr, Mara Bader, Zeke Corwin, Eliza Bader, Josh Lykins and Lilly Clemmons.
Emi Minnich, Daniel Fennig, Jason Minnich, Sophie Bader, Grace Saxman, Alex LeMaster, Rylee Clemmons, Cody Moser, Ashlyn Dow and Anne Vormohr all picked up individual wins for Jay County.
Also winning single events were Ben Heath, Damian Hicks, Griffin Mann, Luke Nichols, Jamie Valentine, Zane Shreve, Ryleigh Oswalt, Juan Pablo Wiggins, Christopher McDowell and Sydney Mathias.
Jay County returns to the water at 6 p.m. Thursday against Wells Community.

Fisher wins title
Fisher had Frontline’s number all season.
Tuesday’s title game was no different.
Three different players had multiple hit games as Fisher Meats edged Frontline Construction 5-3 in the championship game of Portland Junior League’s Minor softball division.
Fisher finished the season with a 10-3 record.
Emma Swingley, Grace Brewster and Clarissa Reidt all had two hits. Justice Day and Kylie Klopfenstein each hit a double, and Drew Dressel and Kearston Myers both tallied a single.
Brewster and Day combined to pitch Fisher to the victory.

Ponderosa perfect
A 17-7 win Monday over Williams Auto Parts solidified a perfect season for Ponderosa Steakhouse and a berth in tonight’s championship game.
Ryne Goldsworthy paved the way for Ponderosa, smacking three hits and driving in four runs. Isaac Roop and Tony Wood both had three hits and one RBI, with Wood sharing the team lead with three runs.
AJ Myers and Griffin Byrum tallied two hits apiece, with Hank Imel, Rhysin Blowers and Jayden Comer each adding one.
For Williams, Ron Wagner had three hits and three RBIs. Zachary McAbee and Max Klopfenstein notched two hits each.[[In-content Ad]]
