Jay County JV falls to Rebels

MUNCIE — The Jay County junior varsity football team suffered a 24-0 loss Tuesday to the Muncie Southside Rebels.
Southside scored a touchdown in each of the first three quarters and converted the two-point attempt each time.
Austin Fairchild led the Patriot offense with 70 yards rushing. Travis Osterholt had a pair of sacks.

East Jay 7th rolls
HARTFORD CITY — East Jay Middle School’s seventh grade volleyball team opened its season with a 25-18, 25-19 road victory Tuesday over the Blackford Bruins.

Katie Beougher paced the Chiefs with 13 service points, including 11 aces. She also had two kills.
Kaylee Inman had five service points and two kills, and Mallory Bost totaled five service points and two assists.

SA squads win
PONETO — The South Adams eighth grade volleyball team cruised to a 25-16, 25-8 victory Tuesday over the host Southern Wells Raiders. The seventh grade squad won 25-11, 25-18.
Emma Rosswurm led the eighth graders to their victory with four kills and three aces.
Julia Grabau had 10 aces for the seventh grade team. Jade Farlow added eight aces.[[In-content Ad]]
