The Jay County Summer Swim Team set six new team and pool records Monday as it finished its dual meet season undefeated, downing Celina 640-454 at Portland Pool.
Jay swimmers won 13 of 18 relays and 31 of 60 individual events en route to the victory, which finished off a perfect dual-meet season.
Anne Vormohr, one of five triple event winners, set new team and pool records in the 15-and-older girls long freestyle, backstroke and short freestyle. Sophie Bader lowered her own team and pool records in the 15-and-older individual medley. She also finished first in the butterfly and breaststroke.
Eliza Bader, who set team and pool records in the 9-10-year-old girls long freestyle and individual medley, also took first in the short freestyle.
Mara Bader placed first in the 8-and-younger girls long freestyle, butterfly and individual medley, and Alex Bader, 13-14-year-old girls butterfly, individual medley and breaststroke.
Double event winners included Sophie Saxman in the 8-and-younger girls breaststroke and short freestyle, Konner Sommers in the 9-10-year-old boys butterfly and individual medley, and Josh Lykins in the 15-and-older boys long freestyle and short freestyle.
Joseph Dow (8-and-younger butterfly), Joshua Monroe (8-and-younger boys breaststroke), Erica Hathaway (11-12-year-old girls long freestyle), Tayler Smeltzer (11-12-year-old boys individual medley), Luke Nichols (11-12-year-old boys breaststroke) and Alex Lemaster (13-14-year-old boys breaststroke) were all single-event winners.
