NATIONAL HOSPICE MONTH

In honor of the nation’s 3,300 hospice programs, November has been declared National Hospice Month. Hospice programs provide quality and compassionate care to 950,000 patients nationwide.

Tammy Fox, State of the Heart Home Health and Hospice executive director for Coldwater, Portland and Greenville offices, says this month provides an opportunity to raise awareness of available care options for those who are facing or may face a health crisis.

The office provided care for close to 500 patients last year, including physicians, nurses, home health aides, social workers, chaplains, bereavement specialists and volunteers.

For more information about hospice services, call (800) 417-7535 or 548-2999.
