Jay group gets new genealogist
Taking note
Jay County Genealogical Society has a new genealogist.
Rex W. Bertram will promote genealogical and historical research and education within Jay County and provide help to anyone wanting to search genealogical records.

Inducted
Joshua Stultz, a Jay County High School graduate, has been inducted in the Ruth Peters Chapter of the National Residence Hall Honorary at Ball State University.
Only the top 1 percent of student leaders in residence halls can become members.
He is the son of Larry and Annette Stultz, Portland.
Plant swap
A plant swap will be held Saturday, May 1, at 2 p.m. at the old Lion's Club Building in Ridgeville.
Participants should come 15 to 20 minutes early. Plants may be brought in containers such as milk jugs, coffee cans or ice cream pails and should be labled with plant name, color and if it's for sun or shade.

Carnival
Deerfield Elementary is holding its spring Scholastic Book Fair through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the gymnasium.
