WINCHESTER - The Jay County Red middle school baseball team swept a double-header from Winchester June 6 - 15-8 and 19-1 - to run its record to 3-0 this summer.
John Lowe and Brandon Ferner set the pace for the Jay County offense, each racking up six hits in the two games. Jason Houston and Phillip Anderson added five hits apiece.
Landry Inman limited Winchester to the single run to win the second game.
Alex Dunn picked up the victory in the opening game.

Nathaniel Brown joined Phil Powell in being named honorable mention in baseball by the Olympic Athletic Conference.
Brown finished second on the JCHS squad with six stolen bases this year. He hit .357 with 20 hits and 16 runs.[[In-content Ad]]
