Another record for Cori Vormohr sparked another Jay County Summer Swim Team win Thursday.

Vormohr picked up another record in the 11-12-year-old girls division as the team won 41 of 60 individual events and 15 of 20 relays. Jay County defeated Union City in the meet, 289-295.

For the second straight meet Vormohr broke one of her coaches marks, this time erasing Abby Arnold’s name from the record book. She finished the short freestyle with a time of 29.83 for a new school and pool record.

She was also one of six triple event winners for the team, adding wins in the backstroke and breaststroke.

Ashley Imel and Derrick Lee teamed up to own the 15-and-over age group, while Matt Eldridge and Brittany Teagle did the same in the 13-14-year-old races. Lane Hull added three wins in the 8-and-under boys division.

Imel took her victories in the long freestyle, butterfly and individual medley, while Lee also won the butterfly and individual medley, and took the short freestyle. Eldridge and Teagle each won the butterfly and individual medley, with Eldridge taking a third win in the breaststroke while Teagle added a victory in the short freestyle.

Hull picked up wins in the butterfly, backstroke and short freestyle.

Grabbing two wins apiece for Jay County were Annie Vormohr, Alysha Miller, Neal Fennig, A.J. Pettyjohn, Sam Miller, Steven Kelly and Shelby Rines.
