JCHS girls golf
CONNERSVILLE — The Jay County High School girls golf team finished in the middle of the pack Saturday with a 428 at the Connersville Invitational.
The Patriots were seventh in a field of 16 teams at Willowbrook Country Club while No. 2 Richmond won with a 329. Indianapolis Cathedral was the runner-up at 340.
Senior Abby Denney led JCHS with six pars on the way to a 47. Cara Garringer, a senior in her first action of the year as she returns from a knee injury, was second on the squad with a 98.
Brittany Stevens added a 117 for the Patriots, who were without senior Macey Gerber, and Alysia Fennig added a 121. Whitney Gray finished with a 137.[[In-content Ad]]
