JC sports awards set for Thursday (10/31/07)

Jay County High School will hold its fall sports awards program Thursday.

The awards ceremony for volleyball, boys soccer, girls soccer, boys tennis, girls golf, boys cross country and girls cross country will be in the auditorium beginning at 6:30 p.m. The Patriot football team, which is preparing for its sectional championship game Friday against Muncie Southside, will hold its awards program at a later date.

Tickets on sale today

Tickets for Jay County High School's sectional championship football game at home Friday against Muncie Southside at 7 p.m. are on sale.

They will be available in the JCHS athletics office today until 4 p.m., Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Friday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. All tickets are $5.

Hole in one

Mitch Waters recently scored a hole in one at Portland Golf Club.

Waters aced the 150-yard, par-3 15th hole at PGC using a pitching wedge. Nick Jones, Scott Rines, Dave Bergman and Doug Tipton witnessed the shot.[[In-content Ad]]
