Last week vs. Adams Central: Connor Kacsor ran 15 times for 283 yards and three touchdowns and Ryan Leiter threw for another three, including one to Kacsor, to lead Leo to a 43-15 victory over the Flying Jets. Kacsor had TD runs of 12, 79 and 82 yards, and a 35-yard TD reception. Leiter went 5-of-9 through the air for 50 yards for the Lions.
Season leaders: Passing — Ryan Leiter - 20-of-34 for 344 yards and six touchdowns. Rushing — Connor Kacsor - 57 carries for 586 yards and eight TDs.
Jay County Patriots

Coach: Steve Boozier, first year
Conference: Independent
Last week vs. Franklin County: The Patriots fell behind 21-0 on the way to a 42-7 defeat. Their lone score came by way of the hurry-up offense at the end of the first half when Cade Price (81 yards) broke a 20-yard TD run. More than a third of JCHS’s offense came on the final three plays of its scoring drive. Austin Neeley had two TD runs and a TD pass for the Wildcats, and Jesse Laker also ran for a pair of TDs.
Season leaders: Passing — Brock McFarland - 5-of-13 for 104 yards and two touchdowns. Rushing — Blake Crouch - 34 carries for 170 yards and two TDs, Cade Price - 31 carries for 138 yards and one TD. Receiving — Price - two receptions for 38 yards and one TD. Defense — Price - 26 tackles and 3.5 sacks, Tyler Claycomb - 18 tackles, three sacks.
Game notes: This will be the first time Jay County and Leo have ever met in football ... The Patriots have played just one Allen County Athletic Conference team in the last 10 years, splitting games with Southern Wells in 2003 and ’04 ... JCHS won 19-14 over Blackford, which lost 29-7 to Adams Central in its season opener. The Lions beat Adams Central 43-15 last week ... The Patriots have allowed 42 or more points twice in three games. Leo is averaging 35 points per game ...
