JCHS grad awarded (03/11/08)
Taking Note
Daniel Scott, a 2004 graduate of Jay County High School, won an award from the Broadcast Education Association (BEA).
Scott and fellow student Katie Stam won second place for Hard News Reporting for their story "Watchdog." He will accept the award in April in Las Vegas at the BEA Festival of Media Arts and the National Association of Broadcasters annual convention.
A junior communication major at the University of Indianapolis, Scott is the son of Harry and Carolyn Scott, Portland.

Several area students will have their art work on display at the 2008 Regional Student Art Exhibit at Arts Place in Portland.
