JCHS picks class officers
Taking Note
Jay County High School recently elected its class officers and student council officers for the 2005-06 school year.
Sophomore class officers will be Baxter Holdcroft, treasurer; Brittany O’Dell, secretary; Gail Hickey, vice president, and president, Amanda Johnson.
For the junior class is Amber Kelly, treasurer; secretary, Carissa Wilkins; Sara Garringer is vice president and James Heare is president.
Senior class officers will be treasurer, Joseph Vormohr; secretary, Claire Fennig; Ian Shannon, vice president and president, Alyssa Johnson.
Student council officers elected were Scott Walker, sergeant at arms; Ben Wellman, treasurer; secretary, Austin Flynn; Lauren Whitesell as vice president and Kelli Whitenack, president.
HONOR SOCIETY
The following students were recently initiated into the Jay County High School Chapter of National Honor Society. Selection is based on four criteria; scholarship, leadership, service and character.
Seniors were Jamie Bruggeman, Leah Gasparovic, Alexis Hosier, Tyler Johnston, Renae Laux, Andrea Palacius, Andrew Pinkerton, Ian Thomas, Mitchell Thomas, Jonathan Wolverton, Ryan Younts and Angela Zhang.
Juniors were Josh Atkinson, Jessica Hart, Eduando Nieto, Robert Ralston, Lisa Rosenbeck, Abby Schmiesing and Angela Stults.
Sophomores were Amanda Alberson, Amanda Barnett, Aaron Bogenschutz, Kelsey Bone, Janel Chittum, Erica Clark, April Coleman, Amber Cotherman, Caitlin Dunn, Kerri Evans, Austin Flynn, Samantha Freeman, Allison Fullenkamp, Sara Garringer and James Heare.
