JCHS reunion set (06/26/08)

Taking Note

The Jay County High School graduating class of 1988 is having its 20 year reunion on Saturday, Aug. 2.

The event will take place at the Portland Elks, 126 W. High St. in Portland from 6 p.m. to midnight. The cost is $15 and RSVP is required by July 28.

Steak dinners are available for $10.95 and chicken dinners are available for $8.95. Checks can be made out to JCHS Class of '88.

Summer class

Ivy Tech Community College will offer Introduction to MS Publisher this summer. The class teaches how to produce newsletters, brochures, flyers, business cards, letterheads, calendars and web pages

The class will be held Thursday, July 10 to July 31 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the John Jay Center for Learning and the cost is $99.

Fall classes

Arts Place in Portland is accepting registrations for its fall Innovations classes. Innovations is a comprehensive program of instruction in the arts for students and adults.

Classes are available in dance, painting, ceramics, crafts, fiber work and spinning.
