Story times will be held at Jay County Public Library on Monday at 10 a.m. and Tuesday at 1 p.m. Four or five books will be read aloud, followed by a craft. Infants and children must be accompanied by an adult.
Mystery of the Queen's Jewels will be held Monday at 6:30 p.m. for adults at J.C.P.L. Participants may come dressed as their character. Registration is required. Call the library at (260) 726-7890 to register.
A teen advisory board meeting will be held at JCPL on Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. for teens in grades six through 12. Teens will be asked for their input on upcoming programs for the library. There will be music, prizes and refreshments.
The teen book group will meet Friday, Oct. 13 from 3:30 until 4:30 p.m. to discuss the book Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. Those who attend should be familiar with the book. Refreshments will be served and registration is required. To register, call (260) 726-7890 or email Linda at [email protected].
Girl Scout fun
Reap the Harvest, an annual event of the Girl Scouts of Wapehani Council, Inc., will take place Oct. 21 at Camp Munsee in Selma from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and Oct. 28 at Camp Windigo in Upland from 1 to 3:30 p.m. The events are for girls ages 5 to 17 and include a hayride, snacks, games and crafts.

U.S. Senator Dick Lugar will hold the 30th Annual Symposium for Tomorrow's Leaders on Saturday, Dec. 9, at the University of Indianapolis. The symposium is for outstanding high school juniors across the state of Indiana to discuss current events and issues.
