JRDS joins in 'Tunes' effort

Clients and staff at Jay-Randolph Developmental Services, Inc. will be helping the “Tunes for Troops” organization this Christmas season.
“Tunes for Troops” collects used music CDs, books on CD and DVD movies to send to military men and women recovering from service related injuries.
Also gently used MP3 players and I-pods, including the downloaded music and accessories that go with them, hand-held games with game cards and accessories are being collected.
Items can be brought to JRDS, 901 E. Water St. in Portland, by Dec. 15.

Freeman to perform
Portland native Samantha Freeman will perform in the Huntington University Theatre Company and Huntington University music department production of “Tis the Season.”
The production is a Christmas musical review and will be performed the week of Dec. 1 through 4 at 7:30 p.m. in Zurcher Auditorium in the Merillat Centre for the Arts.
Freeman is a senior theatre performance major.
