Kevin Ford to be at Minnetrista on Saturday
Taking Note
Astronaut Kevin Ford will participate in a program on Saturday at Minnetrista in Muncie.
Satellites and Space Day will be from noon until 4 p.m., with Ford making appearances at 1:30 and 3 p.m.
Visitors will experience constellations in a Star Lab, try out a GPS unit, learn how satellites are used, perform weather experiments and view the Eyes on Earth exhibit.

Exhibit
Jay School Corporation art teacher Leslie Newton will have the exhibit "Ancient, Intense, Spiritual - Taos" beginning Friday, May 7, at the Hugh N. Ronald Gallery at Arts Place in Portland.
The exhibit is being sponsored by Annette Alexander, Associate Vice President, Investments of Raymond James & Associates, Inc.
Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. through May 28 and from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. beginning May 31 and Saturdays from 2 until 5 p.m.
Training session
The Upper Wabash River Basin Commission is sponsoring a Hoosier Riverwatch training session for volunteers on Saturday, April 24, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. at the Limberlost State Historic Site in Geneva.
Volunteers will receive hands-on training in monitoring rivers and streams.
