Kilander to appear in book (08/25/06)

Deborah Kilander of Portland has recently been accepted as a member of National Honor Roll's Outstanding American Teachers for 2005-06. Kilander teaches English at East Jay Middle School. Her name will appear in the NHR Outstanding American Teachers 2005/2006 Commemorative Edition.
Healing field
The West Ohio Healing Field, a flag memorial to all military, firefighters, law enforcement and EMS will take place Sept. 9 through 12th in Maria Stein, Ohio.
A 10-acre field at 2365 St. Johns Road will be filled with 3,000 flags, including a grand entrance of twin towers with a gigantic American flag hanging between them for people to walk under.
The healing field will open 24 hours a day and there is no cost.
Dean's list
Gwen Doss, Ridgeville, made the dean's list at Brown Mackie College in Fort Wayne for the first term of 2006. She is a nursing student and the daughter of Scott and Darla Doss and Todd and Susie Detro.
Graduates
C. David Boots, Dunkirk, received his M.A. in ministry from Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion at an Aug. 12 ceremony.[[In-content Ad]]
