Lehman blasts Indians

SIDNEY, Ohio — The Division IV No. 2 Lehman Catholic Cavaliers proved too strong for the visiting Fort Recovery volleyball team Monday as the Indians lost 25-14, 25-15, 25-12.
Holly Brunswick had 13 digs, five kills and three points for the Indians, who have dropped five straight to fall to 4-9. Olivia Thien had seven kills and five blocks against Lehman Catholic (17-1), Shelby Brunswick totaled nine assists and three points and Abby Backs had 18 digs.
In junior varsity action Fort Recovery got eight digs and two kills from Amy Link in an 8-2 loss.

FORT RECOVERY — The Fort Recovery freshman football team improved to 3-2 with a 24-0 victory Monday over the Minster Wildcats.
All of the scoring came in the first half, starting with Kyle Timmerman’s 79-yard touchdown run. Mitch Vagedes added a 33-yard scoring run in the first quarter, and Alex Wenning reached the end zone on a 5-yard quarterback sneak in the second.
Mitch Vagedes recorded a pair of 2-point conversions on passes from Wyatt Blockberger and ran in for another.[[In-content Ad]]
