Lehman’s Auto Sales and auto repair service of Berne, owned by Bruce and Janet Lehman, has announced an expansion and relocation project.
The Berne auto dealer will now include sales of garden power equipment and home appliances.
In January of 2003 the Lehman’s purchased the Farm & Home Center on Behring Street in downtown Berne. They have relocated with a newly remodeled showroom to their 425 Parr Road auto repair facility.
There is a Grand Opening Celebration scheduled for today, with the public invited to register for door prizes and eat free catered refreshments.
The Farm & Home Center will now include sales and service of Toro, Wheel Horse, Country Clipper zero-turn, Lawn Boy, Echo and Earthquake brands of lawn and garden power equipment.
Gibson commercial and Frigidaire lines of all types of home appliances will also be on display in the showroom.
It will continue free in-town pick-up and delivery of sales and warranty work.
The sale of bicycle parts and accessories will continue, as well as bike and sewing machine repair.

The Portland Area Chamber of Commerce recently release a schedule of upcoming meetings: April 29, Chamber Networking Luncheon, noon, at the Jay County Hospital conference room A/B; Board of Directors will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Portland Pizza Hut; May 8, the MAJC Committee will meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Jay County REMC; Seminar Committee will meet at 11:30 a.m. at Banditos; May 13, the Marketing Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Jay County REMC; May 19, the Executive Committee will meet at noon, at the Chamber offices; May 20, the Education Committee will meet at 12:30 p.m., at the Jay County School Corporation.

The Pampered Lady in Decatur will host its second annual Breast Cancer Awareness Days on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10.
The proceeds from the event will benefit IU Medical Center in Indianapolis, business owner Leah Logan said in a release.
