Leo defeats Stars in tourney

FORT WAYNE — The South Adams High School boys soccer team suffered a 3-0 loss Thursday to the Leo Lions in the semifinal round of the Allen County athletic Conference tournament.
Austin Drefke scored twice for Leo, which led 2-0 at halftime, against the Starfires. Brennan Seevers added one goal.
SAHS will play Heritage in the consolation game today at 8 p.m.

Spikers stumbles
BERNE — South Adams slipped to 3-18 on the season Thursday with a 25-15, 25-22, 25-17 loss to the visiting Winchester Golden Falcons.
Kara Delong finished with 12 digs, five kills and two blocks to lead the Starfires. Alyssa Bluhm added eight digs, seven assists and four kills.
The South Adams junior varsity team got four kills from Mykala Coblentz in a 25-19, 25-15 defeat.

Girls soccer blanked
FORT WAYNE — The Garrett Railroaders scored four times in each half in handing South Adams an 8-0 loss in the Allen County Athletic Conference tournament.
Heather House and Chelsea Zahner each scored twice to lead Garrett. The Starfires will play Heritage in the consolation game today at 6 p.m.[[In-content Ad]]
