Lifeskill winners named at Bloomfield (01/09/07)

Bloomfield Elementary staff members recently named students who used the lifeskill "effort" in December.
Winners were Emiley Bailey, Devon Bash, Audrey Dirksen, David A. Graber, David J. Graber, Esther Graber, Melvin Graber, Logann Harris, Brooke Harshman, Aaron Hibbard, Lydia Hilty, Jade Hollopeter, Taylor Homan, Troy Homan, Caitlyn Miller, Spencer Reinhart and Paige Wormer.
Library events
The Adult Winter Reading Program will begin at Jay County Public Library on Jan. 15 and will continue for five weeks. After books are read, they should be recorded in reading logs that are available at the library.
The logs can then be returned to the circulation desk to receive a prize. Each completed book log will be entered in weekly prize drawings and the grand prize drawing.

The 3rd Annual Coffee Tasting Event will be Tuesday, Jan. 23, from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. at JCPL.
"Coffees from Around the World" will feature coffee and tea flavors from Brazil, Italy and China. There will also be pastries and treats to sample. The free event is sponsored by Friends of the Library.

Artist workshop
Arts Place in Portland will offer a free Professional Development Workshop for Individual Artists on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at 5:30 p.m. The workshop will be held at Ball State University Museum of Art in the Fine Arts Building on Riverside Ave. in Muncie.
Artists can bring their portfolios, CDs, slides or actual artworks to be critiqued.
The artists who will critique are Peter Blume, Pamela DeMarris, Zach Medler and Kelly Meska.
