LifeSkills winners named (5/5/05)
Taking Note
Bloomfield Elementary School staff members recently chose its life skill winners for April. Winning for the life skill “curiosity” was Nickelas Bayless, Carson Blowers, Dylan Brotherton, Jenna Coleman, David A. Graber, David CR Graber, Devon Jones, Kyle Moser, Levi Moyer, Blake Muhlenkamp, Tyler Osborne, Cierra Paul, Brennan Reinhart, Andrew Teeple and Brian Welling.
MUSIC WORKS
Arts Place in Portland will sponsor the second annual Rock Around the Clock practice marathon on Friday, May 6, from 6 to 10 p.m. Students from the MusicWorks program will practice instruments or sing for a half hour while collecting $1 pledges from family and friends. The money will be used to fund field trips for MusicWorks students.

The Jay County Well Child Clinic will be open on Tuesday, May 10, from 4 to 8 p.m. at 521 S. Wayne St. in Portland. The clinic is open to Jay County residents only. For an appointment, call (260) 726-9318.

Jason Meinerding, a Jay County High School senior, has been recognized by Who’s Who Among American High School Students. He is the son of Jerry and Patty Meinerding of Bryant.
