LifeStream Services Inc. is planning to conduct public hearings to finalize the Area Plan for the next four years for services for older adults and people with disabilities in East Central Indiana.
The hearing will be held on Monday, Jan. 12, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at Portland Place.
Written testimony will also be accepted until Jan. 30 and may be sent to LifeStream Services, P.O. Box 308, Yorktown, IN 47396 or emailed to [email protected].
Lunch will be served before the hearing begins. For more information or to make lunch reservations, call (765) 759-1121 or (800) 589-1121.
Board elected
The town of Bryant recently elected Jason Meinerding as president; Warren Boice as vice president and Jim Spade as park president.
Warriors of month
The following students were named Warriors of the Month for December at Judge Haynes Elementary School for demonstrating good career skills.
Warriors were Gabriel Rowles, Mikayla Shelton, Kolton Allen, Michael Rowles, Samara Slade, Erin Kramer, Cera Batt, Brenda Rodriguez, Jesua Serna, Asha Eicher, Emilia Minnich and Michael Denney.
Activity calendars
Reading and activity calendars are available at Jay County Public Library through Jan. 17 for preschool and elementary age children.
When 15 activities have been completed, the calendar may be returned for a prize. Activities must be completed by the end of January and the deadling for claiming prizes is Feb. 9.
Do-It-Yourself Crafts is offered each Tuesday in January from 1 to 5 p.m. Supplies and instructions are provided for children and caregivers to complete.

Dean's list
Lucas Homan, Fort Recovery, was named to the dean's list for the autumn quarter at Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.
President's list
Sara Wendel, Fort Recovery, was named to the president's list for the seventh trimester at Palmer College of Chiropratic in Iowa, where she is in the doctor of chiropractic program.[[In-content Ad]]
