Louck leads Eagle grapplers (03/04/08)

Chase Louck turned in the best finish for the West Jay Middle School wrestling team at Saturday's Adams Central Invitational, and then picked up on of the Eagles' victories in Monday's 49-42 loss to the visiting Southern Wells Raiders.
Louck made it to the 110-pound championship match Saturday before falling as he finished as the runner-up with a 3-1 records. He added a 6-4 victory in his match against Southern Wells.
West Jay had three pins in the loss to the Raiders, including two in less than 30 seconds. Travis Callahan won at 145 pounds in just 18 seconds, and Cory Green took the 100-pound match in 28 seconds.
Nathan Drumm scored the other pin, winning in 3-minutes, 36 seconds at 130 pounds. Lucas Wiemer (135) added a 13-12 victory.
Carrolton Fischer also had a solid day at Adams Central, finishing fourth at 115 pounds.
