FORT RECOVERY — The Tribe put up a good fight in game two, but could not bring down the Flyers.
Fort Recovery’s freshman volleyball team slipped to 3-3 Saturday as it fell 25-14, 27-25 to the Marion Local Flyers.
Annie Koesters paced the Indians in the defeat, finishing with team highs of six kills and three blocks.
She also had four points and three digs.
Chelsea Klenke totaled seven assists and seven points, and Kelly Sudhoff notched a team-best 10 points. Amy Hart led Fort Recovery with five digs, and Melissa Tobe added four digs.
Tribe gridders blanked
FORT RECOVERY — After Fort Recovery’s varsity team was shut out by the Versailles Tigers Friday night the junior varsity squad didn’t have any better luck Saturday.
The Indians JV team lost to Versailles, 39-0.

NEW CASTLE — West Jay’s seventh grade football team lost 19-6 to New Castle Thursday night. The eighth grade game was canceled because of the weather.
Tyler Cash scored the lone touchdown for the seventh graders, running in from eight yards out. Anthony Skeens had a pair of interceptions in the defeat, and Sam Kreps had a fumble recovery.[[In-content Ad]]
