Martin leads Tribe

FORT RECOVERY — Caleb Martin threw for two touchdowns and ran for another Saturday as the Fort Recovery High School junior varsity football team beat the St. Johns Blue Jays 36-14.
Martin connected to Ross Homan on a 32-yard touchdown pass and found Brandon Schoen from 7 yards out for the other score. He added a 25-yard touchdown run.
Homan also had a 4-yard TD run for the Indians, and Cole Dues also found paydirt from 3 yards out.
Jason Roessner and Martin and Schoen added two-point conversions.
Eagles still perfect
DUNKIRK — The West Jay Middle School football team defeated the Southern Wells Raiders on Saturday 22-8 to remain unbeaten.
Wyatt Geesaman led the Eagles’ rushing attack, scoring one touchdown on 10 carries for 87 yards. He added three receptions for 76 yards.
Gabe Faulkner amassed 180 total yards for West Jay (6-0), going 5-of-7 through the air for 142 yards and rushing for 38 yards and one touchdown on five carries.
Andrew Toney added another score for the Eagles, rushing for 38 yards on 10 carries. Daniel Fugiette recorded 40 yards on nine carries.
