Menchhofers celebrate 65th (12/08/2008)
Longtime Jay County residents Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Menchhofer, 1384 East 200 South, Portland, are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary today.
Lowell married Alberta Somers on Dec. 8, 1943, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Coldwater, Ohio.
Lowell retired as a life insurance salesman for Western Southern Life Insurance Co. in 1984.
The couple have been members of Zion Lutheran Church in Portland since 1950.
They are the parents of Brenda Bradley, Elizabeth W. Va., Mrs. Larry (Carol) Orr, Madison, Marla Freeman, Bryant, and Mrs. Don (Anita) Enyart, Portland. They have eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one stepgreat-grandchild.[[In-content Ad]]
