Middle schools honored (05/22/08)

East Jay and West Jay Middle Schools will be recognized June 30 for their commitment to comprehensive school counseling programs by the American School Counselor Association (ASCA).

Both schools will receive the Recognized ASCA Model Program (RAMP) designation during a ceremony in Atlanta. RAMP is awarded to schools that align with the criteria set in the ASCA National Model and that deliver a comprehensive, data-driven school counseling program.

Minnetrista events

A Garden Trough Workshop will be held Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at Minnetrista Cultural Center in Muncie. Participants will make a garden accessory.

The workshop is sponsored by the Delaware County Master Gardeners. The cost is $30 and registration deadline is June 10.

Drums of Fire will be Friday, June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m. Relax around a campfire while listening to the rhythmical stylings of Bill Bailey on his washboard instrument. Cost is $15 and registration is requested. Call (765) 213-3549 to register.[[In-content Ad]]
