Sylvia Van Skyock
June 21, 1937-April 16, 2010
Services were held today for Sylvia Carol Van Skyock, 72, who died Friday at the Waters of Muncie Health Care Center.
Born in Ridgeville to Groe and Nannie (White) Rupe, she graduated from Selma High School in 1955 and lived there most of her life.
She had worked as a registered nurse at Ball Memorial Hospital and Riverview Health Care Center, both in Muncie, and attended Selma Christ United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Eric Lloyd Van Skyock (wife: Anita), Anderson; a daughter, Julie Kay Gentry, Muncie; a sister, Margrace Ladd (husband: David), Berrien Springs, Mich.; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be given for the grandchildren's education in care of Parson Mortuary.

Robert Kanney Sr.

A funeral Mass was held today for Robert O. Kanney Sr., 80, St. Henry, Ohio. The brother-in-law of a Fort Recovery woman, he died Thursday at his home.
Born in Coldwater, Ohio, to Aloysius and Alvina (Braun) Kanney, he is survived by his wife Dorothy (Drees) Kanney, whom he married on Sept. 30, 1950.
He had served as mayor of St. Henry for 20 years.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons; two daughters; two brothers; three sisters-in-law, including Regina Wendel, Fort Recovery; nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.[[In-content Ad]]
