Woodford Gullett
Services were held today for Woodford "Woody" Gullett, 92, a former Selma resident, at Meacham Funeral Service, Albany. The father of area residents, he died Thursday at Parker Health Care in Parker City.
Born on Aug. 27, 1915, in Mt. Sterling, Ky., to Roscoe and Gertrude Gullett, his wife of 58 years, Patricia Gullett, survives.
Other survivors include two sons; two daughters, Mrs. Charles (Julia) Eltzroth, Dunkirk, and Mrs. Tom (Sherry) Weaver, Portland; a brother; a sister; 11 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Selma.

Ryndia Steveson
Ryndia S. Steveson, 66, 233 S. Munson Ave., Portland, died Sunday at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Born on March 12, 1942, in Seymour, to Cecil and Audrey Kennedy, she was married on Aug. 18, 1960, to Richard Steveson, who survives.
She was retired from C.T.S. in Berne.
Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Jerry L. Steveson, North Vernon, and Richard A. Steveson, Portland; a daughter, Mrs. Kirk (Karen Sue) Fultz, Portland; a brother, Lannie Bogard, Ohio; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Eads officiating. Burial will be in Gravel Hill Cemetery, west of Bryant.
Visitation is Tuesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to the Kidney Foundation or Diabetes Association.
Melvin Osborne
Melvin E. Osborne, 77, 1711 West 700 North, Ridgeville, died Saturday at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie.
Born on Sept. 21, 1930, in Hartford City, to Elmer and Lelia (Blankenbaker) Osborne, he retired from Anchor Hocking Glass in Winchester in 1985 after 38 years and farmed in Randolph County for several years.
Serving in the National Guard in the 1950's, he was a member of the Tri-State Gas Engine and Tractor Association and former member of the Eagles Lodge in Muncie.
Survivors include three sons, Gordon E. Osborne, Fort Wayne, Paul Osborne, rural Portland, and Glenn E. Osborne, rural Ridgeville; a daughter, Regina Dahlstrom, Clarksville, Tenn.; a brother, Elmer "Jr." Osborne, Selma; two sisters, Martha Ozbun, Muncie, and Christena Jarrett, Upland; nine grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home with Pastor Rex Collins officiating. Burial will be in the Wayman-Blankenbaker Cemetery in Blackford County.
Visitation is today from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sharon K. Barbee, 55, 1106 S. Meridian St., Portland, died Sunday at Jay County Hospital.
Born on Feb. 1, 1953, in Indiana, to Mr. and Mrs. James H. Barbee, she moved to Portland from New Castle in 1993.
She was a former employee of Jay-Randolph Developmental Services work center in Portland.
A memorial service will be Wednesday at 5 p.m., with visitation beginning at 4 p.m., in the Portland Chapel of the Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home.

Bradley Weaver
Bradley S. Weaver, 50, Berne, died Saturday at his home.
Born on March 21, 1958, in Adams County, to Thomas and Dorothy (Steiner) Weaver, he graduated from South Adams High School in 1976 and attended Indiana University.
He was married on Aug. 4, 2001, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Teresa Ford, who survives.
Weaver was a utility worker and assembler at Strick Corporation in Monroe for 25 years.
Surviving besides his wife Teresa are his parents Thomas and Dorothy Weaver, Geneva; a daughter, Brittany Weaver, Decatur; a son, Greg Amstutz, Decatur; a stepdaughter, Ashley Fraker, Berne; a sister, Londa Miller, Leo; and a granddaughter.
Services are Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Downing and Glancy Funeral Home in Geneva with the Rev. James Bontrager officiating. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery in Geneva.
Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.

The sister-in-law of a Redkey woman, she died Friday at Ball Memorial Hospital.
Born on Jan. 26, 1939, in New Castle, to Kenneth and Katherine (Fisher) Stout, she was married on April 24, 1976, to David E. Hensley, who survives.
Other survivors include four daughters; a brother; a sister-in-law, Ruby Ford, Redkey; seven grandchildren; one great-grandson and five nieces.
Burial was in Gardens of Memory, Muncie.

Services for Levi J. Shetler Sr., 84, LaGrange, were held Saturday at the James Hilty home in LaGrange. The father of a Geneva woman, he died Wednesday at his home.
Born on May 8, 1923, in Mount Hope, Ohio, to Jacob L. and Amanda A. (Hershberger) Shetler, he was married on Nov. 27, 1947, to Mary Hilty, who preceded him in death on March 12, 2007.
He was a member of the Old Order Amish Church and was a retired farmer and carpenter.
Survivors include five daughters, including Mrs. Wills (Larene) Graber, Geneva; five sons; two sisters; four brothers; 91 grandchildren and 96 great-grandchildren.
