More charges
A Muncie man accused of committing burglaries in Jay County has also been charged with committing the same crimes in Blackford County.
Larry A. Rowe Jr., 37, has been charged in Blackford Circuit Court with burglary, a class B felony, and theft, a class D felony.
On April 2, he allegedly broke into the home of northeastern Blackford County resident Karen Kitterman. He is accused of stealing a jewelry box and a pillowcase. He also apparently attempted to steal a television from the living room wall, but was unsuccessful, police said.
Rowe was arrested April 5 after police pulled him over near county road 400 South and Boundary Pike. He has been charged in Jay Circuit Court with four counts of burglary, all class B felonies.
Inside the blue sport utility vehicle Rowe was driving, police allegedly found a large TV, two guns and a pillowcase filled with items that connect Rowe to a burglary at the home of Lloyd Wright, 3832 East 400 South, Portland.
Along with burglaries in Jay and Blackford counties, Rowe is also considered a suspect in recently burglaries in Wells, Grant, Madison, Huntington and Delaware counties.
Last week, he was transferred to the Madison County Jail. When he was arrested April 5, he was out on bond on a charge of theft in Madison County, police said. Rowe's bond has been set at $100,000.[[In-content Ad]]
