Two hurt
Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident in Greene Township Friday night.
Blake E. Powell, 34, 3162 West 1050 South, Montpelier, one of the driver’s suffered minor facial bleeding in the 8:26 p.m. accident. A passenger in the vehicle he was driving, Shiloh L. Banter, 15, 9035 South 400 West, Poneto, complained of body pain.
The accident occurred at Ind. 26 and Division Road.
According to Jay County police, Powell was driving south on Ind. 26 and began to turn left to continue on Ind. 26. At the same time, Adam S. Coleman, 16, 9082 West 500 North, Pennville, was headed west on Ind. 26 and began to go straight onto Division Road. Both vehicles entered the intersection at the same time and collided.
Police estimated combined damage to the 2002 Ford Expedition, registered to Cheryl F. Powell, same address as driver, and the 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe, registered to Suzanne N. Steele, 108 Swinging Nickel Road, Georgetown, Ky., at $10,000 to $25,000.

Fails to pay
Someone pumped $20 in gas at Bearcreek Crossing, 893 East Ind. 18, Bryant, and failed to pay for the gas.
An employee of the gas station called Jay County police Friday at 8:07 p.m. and reported the theft. The vehicle was a silver car.[[In-content Ad]]
