COUNTY ACCIDENTS
A South Bend woman was injured in a one-vehicle accident on Saturday at 4:15 a.m. in Jackson Township.
Tamika L. Trotter, 20, 2415 Prast Blvd., was transported by Jay Emergency Medical Service for abdominal pain.
She told Jay County police she was driving east on Ind. 18 at the intersection of county road 750 North, when she approached semi-truck driving left of center. She said she went off of the north side of the road to avoid colliding with the semi and when she drove back onto the road she lost control of her 1999 Mazda car.
The car began to spin and went off of the south side where it came to rest. According to the police report, the semi left the scene of the accident.
Damage to Trotter’s car, also registered to Annie Trotter, same address was driver was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.[[In-content Ad]]
