Modification denied
Jay Circuit Court denied a sentence modification requested by a Winchester woman.
Kimberly Guntle, 30, requested an early release. She is serving an executed sentence of six years for dealing in a schedule II control substance.
The court denied the request July 27 because her sentence was part of a plea agreement.

Violation sentences
A Redkey man was given additional jail time totaling four and a half years in two cases after violating his probation.
Jonathan Staton, 34, Redkey, was given a two-and-a-half-year and two-year sentence on July 27 for violating his probation. Staton allegedly committed additional offenses in Delware County as well as failed to pay court-ordered restitution.
The sentences will be served consecutively.[[In-content Ad]]
