ICY ACCIDENTS
The snow that fell Saturday evening and Sunday morning was a contributing factor in several accidents in Jay County over the weekend.
A vehicle driven by a rural Portland woman collided with a pole after she lost control on the ice today at 6:21 a.m. in Wayne Township.
Deanna L. Cline, 36, 6423 South 500 East, told police she was southbound on Boundary Pike, just north of Koch Drive, when she lost control of her vehicle on ice that was on the road.
Her 1986 Chevrolet 1500 slid off the east side of the road and collided with a pole on its passenger side.
Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
