Norma Massey

Norma L. Massey, 61, Hartford City, died Friday at Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. She was a member of the Kingsley Full Gospel Church in Dunkirk.

Born on Sept. 14, 1942, in Hartford City to Floyd L. and Lillian Mae (Thrasher) Baker, she was married on Aug. 29, 1960 in Hartford City to Curtis D. Massey, who died on Sept. 16, 1994.

She was a homemaker and had previously worked at the Hartford City Senior Citizens Center.

Surviving are her companion, Troy Geesaman, Dunkirk; five daughters; one son; six sisters, including Lesta L. Petitt, Geneva; one brother; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Keplinger Funeral Home, Hartford City, with the Rev. Bobby Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Gardens of Memory Cemetery, north of Muncie.

Visitation is today from 3 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until services begin at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.

Richard Isch

Richard E. Isch, 69, New Haven, died Saturday at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. He was a relative of local residents.

Born in rural Adams County in 1934 to Edward and Ozema Isch, he was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal service. He retired in 1997 after 20 years of service.

He also worked for Phelps Dodge and McJon’s Photo Lab.

Surviving are two brothers; four sisters; and several nieces and nephews.

Services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. a the E. Harper and Son Funeral Home, New Haven, with burial following in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Pennville.

Visitation is Tuesday from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or the Heart Fund.

Mary Lou Frees

Mary Lou Frees, 64, Bluffton, died Sunday afternoon in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

She was the grandmother of a Portland resident and an in-law to several local residents.

Born in Bluffton to Howard G. and Ova (Rush) Betz on Sept. 29, 1939, she was a 1958 graduate of Bluffton High School.

She was married April 17, 1961 in Bluffton to Jerry Frees, who survives.

She attended Ravenscroft Beauty School and worked as a beautician and homemaker. She later worked at the Wells County Jail, Bluffton. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Bluffton.

Surviving are two daughters; one son; one brother; one sister; and one grandson.

Services are Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Park United Brethren Church, Bluffton, with the Revs. Steve Howell and Larry Taylor presiding. Burial will follow in Six Mile Cemetery, Bluffton.

Visitation is Tuesday from 1 to 8 p.m. at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt and Chaney Funeral Home, Bluffton, and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
