Accused of theft
A Portland man was arrested Sunday morning by Portland police for allegedly stealing a bra from a local store.
Douglas W. Caley, 28, 960 W. Water St., was arrested for theft, a class D felony.
About 12:50 a.m. Sunday, he allegedly shoplifted at the Wal-Mart Supercenter, Portland. Caley is accused of stealing a bra and a fishing reel. Value of the stolen items is $25.84.
He was released from the Jay County Jail Sunday on a $3,000 bond.
Accused of violation
A rural Portland man was arrested Saturday by Jay County police after he allegedly violated a protective order.
Robert E. Stoll, 45, 3734 East 100 North, was arrested for invasion of privacy, a class D felony.
On Saturday, he allegedly was in a vehicle with a woman who has a protective order against him.
Stoll was being held in the Jay County Jail with no bond set. He has no bond because he has previously violated this protective order, police said.[[In-content Ad]]
