Sectional tickets on sale
Advance sectional tickets are on sale for the Jay County and South Adams boys basketball sectional tournaments.
Season passes for each tournament are available for $10.
Tickets can be purchased in the JCHS athletics office until 1 p.m. Friday and in the SAHS athletics office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. today through Thursday.
Single game tickets are only available at the door.
Register now for Boomer leagues
Registration is now open for the Jay Community Center spring soccer and flag football leagues.
Cost is $40 for flag football and $45 for soccer, and the deadline to register is Sunday.
All games will be played on Saturdays at the Jay County Recreation Complex, located at Como Road and 450 South.
Football is open to boys and girls ages 4 to 14, and soccer is open to boys and girls ages 3 to 14.

Junior League registration open
Registration for the Portland Junior League baseball and softball leagues is now underway.
Registration will be held from 9 a.m. to noon March 8 and March 15 at the Jay Community Center.
Coaches are also needed, and those interested can sign up when they register their child.

Hunter education course offered
The Jay County Conservation Club will hold a hunter education course.
The course will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. March 14 and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 15.
Students can register at indianahuntereducation.com, or in person during the first meeting, and attendance at both dates is required for certification.

Berne Bears to hold tryouts
The Berne Bears travel baseball team is conducting tryouts for the 2014 season.
The team is open to players 14-and-younger, and they cannot turn 15 before April 30.
Registration will be 3:15 to 3:45 p.m. March 15 at the South Adams Elementary School gymnasium, with tryouts to follow.
The cost to play will be $350 per player, which includes a uniform.

FRHS seeking new coach
Fort Recovery High School is conducting a search for a new volleyball coach.
Applicants should send their resume and a letter of interest to Kurt Rammel, FRHS athletics director.

The community swim schedule for the 2013-14 school season is underway.
Each swim will be Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m. at Jay County High School and is open to the public.
