Brian Keith Shaneyfelt, 46, Winchester, a former Portland resident, died Saturday at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness.
Born in Portland to Lena May (Neff) and Fred Shaneyfelt Jr., he graduated from Jay County High School.
A member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Portland, he had worked as a coordinator for the ARRA Weatherization Assistance Program for Community and Family Services in Portland and formerly worked for All-American Homes in Decatur.
Surviving are his fiancee, Tammy Goodman, Winchester; two daughters, Amandra Shaneyfelt, Greenville, Ohio, and Abigail Shaneyfelt, Portland; two brothers, Dwight Shaneyfelt (wife: Kathy), Berne, and Tony L. Shaneyfelt, Portland; three sisters, Mariam Beatty and Fredonna Sue Horine, both of Portland, and Maxine Osborne, Muncie; and several nieces and nephews.
Services are Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Williamson and Spencer Funeral Home in Portland with Pastor Hugh Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Antioch Cemetery, southeast of Portland.
Visitation is Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to Clarian Hospital Organ Transplant Unit at Indiana University Medical Center or Clarian Hospice of Indianapolis.

Shane M. Long, 19, 312 Harrison St., Fort Recovery, died Sunday of natural causes at Mercer County Community Hospital in Coldwater, Ohio. Arrangements are pending at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home in Fort Recovery.

Lawrence F. Link, 83, 129 W. Butler St., Fort Recovery, died Sunday at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, Ohio.
Born in Carthagena, Ohio, to Charles and Anna (Wuebker) Link, he is survived by his wife Wilma (Goettemoeller) Link, whom he married on Nov. 28, 1953, in St. Henry, Ohio.
He retired from New Idea in Coldwater, Ohio, and was a farmer. Memberships include Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery, and United Steelworkers of America, Coldwater.
Surviving besides his wife are five daughters, Mary Jane Homan (husband: Eugene), Carthagena, Ohio, Kathy Riethman (husband: Jim), Minster, Ohio, Linda Shier (husband: Richard), Carol Knapke (husband: Jim), both of Fort Recovery, and Teresa Smith (husband: Steve), Springboro, Ohio; three sons, Daniel Link (wife: Nancy), Portland, Bob Link (wife: Sharon) and David Link (wife: Marie), both of Fort Recovery; a brother, Aloys Link (wife: Cleopha), Fort Recovery; three sisters, Edna Reinhard (husband: Eugene), Plainfield, Marilyn Fullenkamp (husband: Eugene), Decatur, and Sister Adelaide Link, S.F.P., Hamilton, Ohio; 40 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery with the Rev. Thomas Dorn officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery in Fort Recovery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home in Fort Recovery.

A Mass of Christian burial for Roger “Roy” Schwieterman, 58, Burkettsville, Ohio, was held today at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Burkettsville. He died Thursday at his home from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound according to the St. Henry, Ohio, Police Department.
Born in Coldwater, Ohio, to Arnold and Luella (Bruns) Schwieterman, he is survived by his wife Deborah (Link) Schwieterman, whom he married on May 29, 1976.
Surviving besides his wife are three sons; a daughter; three brothers, including Ron Schwieterman (wife: Ellen) Fort Recovery; four sisters, including Nancy Jones (husband: Ron) and Mary Gaerke (husband: Bill) both of Fort Recovery; and two grandchildren.

Gail C. Hahn, 85, Bluffton, a Portland native, died Thursday at CrownPointe in Hartford City.
Born in Portland to Acel Floyd and Verna Alice (Hines) Hahn, he was preceded in death on March 2, 1999, by his wife Ruth Ann (Barley) Hahn, whom he married on Sept. 3, 1950, in the First Christian Church parsonage in Hartford City.
Retiring from Fisher Body in Marion in 1981 after 30 years of service, he was a member of UAW in Marion and First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where he and his wife were custodians for many years.
Survivors include a daughter, Gayle Lynn Herrin (husband: Wilbur L.), Hartford City; a son, Neil D. Hahn (wife: Cheryl A.), Hartford City; two sisters, Marjorie Alice May Eliker, Glendora, Ariz., and Elizabeth A. Aeschliman (husband: Bill), Bluffton; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services are Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Keplinger Funeral Home, 509 N. High St., Hartford City, with the Revs. William Piper and Keith Kincaid officiating. Burial will be in Gardens of Memory, Muncie. Visitation is today from 3 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Richard “Dick” H. Marsh, 81, Muncie, a relative of a Portland man, died Sunday at Ball Memorial Hospital.
Born in Elkhart to Robert L. and Rozella M. “Marti” Marsh, he is survived by his wife Sharon.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he worked for The Mountain States Telephone and Telegraph Co., Denver, Colo., and Indiana Bell-Ameritech.
Surviving besides his wife are a son; two daughters; two stepdaughters; a brother-in-law, Paul Stegall (wife: Suzan), Portland; four grandchildren; two great-grandsons; seven stepgrandchildren; a niece and a nephew.
Services are Wednesday at noon at The Meeks and Mortuary and Crematory, Washington Street Chapel, Muncie, with Pastor Vicki Perkins officiating. Entombment will be in Elm Ridge Mausoleum.
Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home.
