Hascal Corle

Hascal “Hack” Corle, 100, Swiss Village in Berne, died Sunday at Adams County Memorial Hospital in Decatur. He was formerly of 5963 East Ind. 26, Portland.
Born in Jay County to Thomas and Anna (Wiggs) Corle, he was preceded in death on Aug. 1, 1997, by his wife M. Idola (Norris) Corle, whom he married on Oct. 7, 1933.
Retiring from Jay Garment Corporation, he was a custodian at Noble Elementary School and drove a school bus.
He was a member of Bellefountain United Methodist Church and attended Fellowship Baptist Church in Portland.
Survivors include Joe Randy Smith, Portland, whom he raised, and several nieces and nephews.
Services are Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Bellefountain United Methodist Church with Pastor Joe Hines officiating. Burial will be in Salamonia Cemetery.
Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.
Memorials may be sent to Bellefountain United Methodist Church.
Baird-Freeman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Carroll Morrison

Memorial services for Carroll L. Morrison, 72, Huntington, were held Sunday in Warren. The grandfather of a Geneva man, he died Oct. 24 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice in Fort Wayne.
Born in Jackson Township to Leander and Elsie (Keesling) Morrison, he was preceded in death on Dec. 24, 2009, by his wife B. Jean Griffith, whom he married on May 26, 1957.
He retired from Franklin Electric.
Surviving are two sons; a daughter; six grandchildren, including Colten Morrison, Geneva, and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held Sunday for Gertha Mae Frazier, 85, Winchester.
The mother of a Ridgeville woman, she died Thursday at Randolph Nursing Home in Winchester.
Born in Crumpler, W.Va. to William Fletcher and Laura Mae (Hanks) Thomason, she was preceded in death by her husband Vernie Frazier.
Surviving are a daughter, Shirley Ann Frazier, Ridgeville; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Steve L. “Bum” Brunswick, 51, Huber Heights, Ohio, a member of a local club, died Wednesday at his home.
Born in Coldwater, Ohio, to John and Madonna (Jutte) Brunswick, he was a member of the Progressive Sportsman’s Club in Fort Recovery.
Survivors include his parents; three brothers; two sisters and 10 nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass is Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater, Ohio, with the Rev. Richard Walling officiating. Burial will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater.
Visitation is today from 3 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
