Cletus Knoth
Dec. 17, 1928-Nov. 28, 2009
Cletus C. Knoth, 80, Coldwater, Ohio, died Saturday at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
Born in Fort Recovery to John and Pauline (Sutter) Knoth, he is survived by his wife Lou Ann (Muhlenkamp) Knoth, whom he married on Nov. 24, 1951, in St. Anthony, Ohio.
He was a retired farmer, attended St. Anthony Catholic Church in St. Anthony, Ohio, and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council No. 3324 in Fort Recovery and the Foresters.
Surviving besides his wife are six daughters, Mrs. Eric (Pat) Sudhoff and Mrs. Chris (Connie) Walter, both of Celina, Ohio, Mrs. Steve (Linda) Steinbrunner, Mrs. Greg (Carol) Doenges, Mrs. Dan (Ginny) Dues, all of Coldwater, and Mrs. Ernie (Jane) Timmerman, Fort Recovery; six sons, Kenny Knoth, Dave Knoth, Steve Knoth and Kevin Knoth, all of Coldwater, Don Knoth, Celina, and Tom Knoth, West Chester, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Virgil (Rosie) Krieg, Fort Recovery, and Armella Mangen, Brock, Ohio; 46 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Services are Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church with the Rev. Barry Stechschulte officiating. Burial will be in St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation is Tuesday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Wednesday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at Brockman-Boeckman Funeral Home in Fort Recovery.
Memorials may be sent to Mercer County Cancer Association.

Dec. 14, 1933-Nov. 29, 2009
John S. Rines, 75, formerly of 2246 East 200 South, Portland, died Sunday at Miller's Merry Manor in Dunkirk.
Born in Jay County to Fred and Lois (Journay) Rines, he is survived by his wife Cletes (Glentzer) Rines, whom he married on Sept. 17, 1955.
A member of Asbury United Methodist Church, he was a farmer and truck driver for First Fleet.
Surviving besides his wife are four sons, Stewart Rines, Scott Rines, Steve Rines and Stanley Rines, all of Portland; three daughters, Mrs. Peter (Catherine) Foss, Saratoga, Calif., Mrs. Randy (Corienne) Brockman, St. Henry, Ohio, and Mrs. Chuck (Susan) Huffman, Dunkirk; two brothers, Alan Rines, Albany, and Paul Rines, Portland; a sister, Rachael Stahl, Americus, Ga.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Asbury United Methodist Church with Pastor Greg Rittenhouse officiating.
Visitation is one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association or Asbury United Methodist Church Endowment Fund.

Harry Gaunt Jr.
Aug. 14, 1924-Nov. 27, 2009
Harry M. Gaunt Jr., 85, Fort Wayne, a Portland native, died Friday at Coventry Meadows, Fort Wayne.
He was born in Portland. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lavonda Gaunt.
He worked as a gear tester with Dana for 41 years, and was a member of Masonic Lodge 731 and Dana Quarter Century Club. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Survivors include a daughter, Deanna Williams, Indianapolis; a brother, Arthur Gaunt, Fort Wayne; and several grandchildren.
Services were held today in Fort Wayne. Burial was at Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.

William Berry

William Delmore Berry, 97, Berne, the father of Geneva residents, died Wednesday at Chalet Village, Berne.
He was born in Rockford, Ohio, to William S. Berry and Ida Sims. He married Mary H. Taylor on Aug. 5, 1937. She died in 1995.
He worked for NYC Railroad and Rockford Elevator.
He is survived by three sons, including Raymond Berry, Geneva; three daughters, including Janet Evans, Geneva; 25 grandchildren, nine stepgrandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held in Rockford. Burial was at Riverside Cemetery, Rockford.
