Moth Fest to be held at Limberlost Cabin
A 100th anniversary celebration of Gene Stratton-Porter’s book “Moths of the Limberlost” will be held at the Limberlost Cabin in Geneva.
MothFest will be celebrated from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, for all ages.
Children may attend a moth class from 1:30 to 2:15 p.m. at the “Luna”-versity. They can make a caterpillar, take a cocoon scavenger hunt, learn about silk moths and graduate as an official “Moth Master.”
Margaret Willey, author of “A Summer of Silk Moths,” will speak at 2:30 p.m.

Top ten
The East Jay Middle School Social Studies academic team placed in the top ten in the state in recent competition.
Team members are Julie Schubert, Henry Hilty, Brian DeRome, Kyra Braun and Robert Myers. The academic coach is Deborah Kilander.
Geneva Library
The Friends of the Library in Geneva are having a book sale through Saturday, June 2, at the library. Donations of books, audio books and used computers are being accepted.
The summer reading program “Dream Big: Read” is also in full swing for pre-K through high school students.
Library hours are Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m.; Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m.; Wednesday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
